Well the time is soon coming to put away our 4- Wheelers and get
out our Snowmobiles.
I would like to thank everyone for another good year for Sandy River Riders ATV
Club. We have opened the new and only Moose Loop Trail. We were able to have a
Club House lent to us for our use. (Thank You Rob Elliott). Joe and his crew
have completed lots of trail work and bridge repairs this year. And also we have
1.7 miles of Access Trail on the Cook Hill Rd.

The Trail Master and several club members
have developed a large network of trails
since the club formed in the spring of 2001.
So far the club has about 60 miles of
landowner permitted trails. Most trails are
developed for all riding abilities. All
trails are signed for ease of finding your
way around and to ensure that you stay on
approved trails.
We
now have numbered trails that
correspond to the new map so you
will always know where you are on
the trails.
Map shown is for illustrations
purposes only.
Club Map’s can be purchased at
Beal's General Store and The White
Elephant for $2.00 each.
Or Contact
Us.
We have a good place to park just north
of town at Hutch's Bridge so you can leave
your vehicle and enjoy a day riding our
trails. There is easy access to food and gas
just off the trail in beautiful downtown
Strong at Beal's General Store and The White
Elephant
Through hard work by some of our members
and members of the
Phillips club we now have
an approved trail to Phillips just off from
our Day Mountain trail.
Whether you are looking for scenic
overlooks or just to be out in the beautiful
Maine woods, you are sure to find some
trails that meet your desires. Ride up to
Allen's Pinnacle for a spectacular view or
down to Stubbs Meadow where you might
encounter some wildlife. Ride through the
woods along the Old Narrow Gauge Railroad
bed and experience a piece of local history.
You can ride to the top of Day Mountain and
view the pond that was the old Strong water
supply as well as doing some exploring to
look for the elusive Pierpole's cave.
In addition to the network of trails
maintained by our club there are other
places to ride in the local area. An
excellent network of trails is located at
Mt. Blue State Park in weld. The trails are
well maintained and wind through the forest
with some nice views of the mountains. Ride
on up to the top of Hedgehog Hill where
there is a spectacular view of Webb Lake and
the many surrounding mountains.
Another good place to ride is in the
Rangeley to Stratton area on about 37 miles
of trails maintained by the
Camp-2 Trail
Riders ATV Club of Rangeley. Help Us Keep the Sport of ATV'ism Alive
