Our Roadside Clean-up went off on schedule this year. We held a Scavenger Hunt Contest this year and the following were the top winners:

1st Place: Bob & Chris Knowlan/Club Sweatshirt
2nd Place: John & Barb McCarthy/Club T shirt
3rd Place: Cordell Ellis/Club Hat

It was a beautiful day and we had a great crew and really got a lot done. Every street and road in Strong was cleaned up this year. If you haven’t been on a cleanup you would not believe the trash that is thrown out on the roadsides. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to all who showed up. It was a great job done and we filled every dumpster in town. We got a lot of good comments, Thank You’s, Thumbs Up and Horn Blowing, showing that people appreciate what we were doing. Sure makes a good impression for the ATV Club and ATV’rs. Also Thanks to all who worked so hard to clean up the outlying streets and roads prior to the scheduled clean up day. Without your help we could not have accomplished nearly as much. You can be proud of what we accomplished and Thanks again to everyone.

Our can & bottle drive is off to a great start. With what was taken in at the last meeting and what we got from the roadside cleanup we are up to $548.00. Les’ truck will be at the next meeting to take your bottles and cans.

Our next meeting will be June 4th at 7:00 pm at the Legion Building in Strong with a Pot Luck Supper starting at 6:00 pm.

Our Club Rides for June 2009 are as follows:
June 6th, Saturday
June 9th, Tuesday
June 14th, Sunday
June 27th, Saturday

For all of these rides we will meet at Hutch’s Bridge at 9:00 am. Bring your lunch, drinks, bug spray etc.

There will be a Work Party on Saturday, May 30th. Please meet at Bill Birden’s at 9:00 am. There will be a Cookout for the workers who help out that day. Please bring your own drinks.

Don’t forget the Town of Strong Parade on Friday evening, June 26th. We will be lining up in the parking area by Hutch’s Bridge at 5:00 pm. Get your machines polished up and join us. There will be other events and concessions in town also. At our July 2009 Club Meeting we will be discussing and voting on changes and amendments to the By-Laws.
